During the course of play, players are required to serve, pass, set, attack, block and dig the ball. 

Playing volleyball requires flexibility, good balance, upper and lower body strength and and power in order to be played effectively.

Inability to meet these physical requirements could lead to poor play, early plateaus and potential injury.
